The Scribe: “Today, let us pause and reflect on what it means to live in spiritual peace. Peace is a conscious state of tranquil surety and knowing that you are safe and that all is well in the current moment and in your outlook on the immediate future. It is a knowing that no harm shall befall you and that you hold no ill will for any other person or group. When I speak of spiritual peace, it is an inherent peace that is the embodiment of the Indwelling Spirit, the Thought Adjuster. This is the root of all peace because life in time and eternity is fostered on the creative principal of completion of perfection in time, and so all the creative forces and administrative beings of the universes work together to promote the safe passage of all souls that they may attain eternal life and become partners with the Creator. There is peace in knowing this and faithfully believing it.
“Even while you live on a world where darkness abounds in many places and your surety of safety is not guaranteed, you can still hold this peace of spiritual surety that your soul and the continuity of your personality and identity is safe for eternal passage through the universes time and onto the perfected worlds of Havona and the Isle of Paradise. You are to be loved, educated, and trained to become god-like and to take your place as a co-creator in the Great Plan to bring all things to relative perfection and completion.
“There have been many that have mortally damaged their vessels and have moved through the valley of the shadow of death prematurely and have returned to the earth. While in their brief stay in this higher vibrational state, they retain a partial memory using the undeveloped morontial mind (soul mind) and take back with them this new ‘peace of mind’ that all is well having a renewed sense of purpose to become partners with the Creator and to participate in the Great Plan. They have experienced, first hand, the truth of spiritual peace, having shed the flesh and its heavy influence, to stand and bathe in the brilliance of unconditional love — the native state. There is not one who moves through the doorway of death, having foretasted this spiritual peace, that desires to return to the earth to finish their ‘tour of duty.’ Once tasting the purity and sweetness of spiritual peace, the desire for unity with the Creator is all-encompassing.
“Your ‘tour of duty’ is like a contract. You have partnered with your Thought Adjuster who is to guide you through your stay on Urantia to gather all the experiential nuggets of wisdom that shall prepare you for your next adventure in the universe. Each adventure in the many realms of creation is a steppingstone that leads to unity with the Creator Father. As you grow, you add valuable experience to the equation of the Great Plan — to bring all things to relative perfection and completion. Spiritual peace is ‘knowing and believing’ you are loved and cared for by the Creator and all your celestial siblings that watch over you. ‘Knowing peace’ comes from the Adjuster presence in your mind, and ‘believing peace’ is your faith in the eternal surety of unity with the Father.
“Your eternal welfare is the business of Spirit. Take solace in the fact that you are a cherished child of God and reflect on ‘The peace that surpasses all understanding.’

The Beloved: “A receptive heart, soul and mind, are the requirement for you to increasingly realize the blessings of the eternal Creator.
To increase your openness to My guidance, you need to become more aware of any selfish thoughts that might come between you and Me, any judgment towards others, any unloving thoughts, any thoughtless words spoken in haste. These roll on throughout eternity and come back to haunt you, to wake up your conscience, and teach you how to become more loving. It is with an unconditionally loving attitude towards others that the highest level of a righteous character shall eventuate.
We are here discussing a spiritually fragrant personality with the character being trained through self-discipline, to learn how to become the best you can be under all circumstances and conditions life has to offer. I am speaking about the ideal you, which I am helping you to uncover and discover.
The eternal Creator has given each mortal a tiny seed to develop, just like a small acorn holds the life-pattern of a mighty oak within itself. It has the urge for self-expression and development, to grow and seek the light of the sun’s warming rays. Meanwhile, it learns to cope with the cold harsh winds and rains, which help it develop a strong and deep root system, so it cannot be uprooted by the elements.
Likewise, this is what you are doing in building up trust and faith in Me as your strong root system, and as your personal Trainer, I urge you to unfold the divine pattern within you, which I hold within My Being.
This is why coming into the Stillness is so important and profitable to you, as you attempt to listen more intently to My guidance, and learn to follow My leadings ever inward, forward and upward.”

“Slavery to tradition produces stability and co-operation by sentimentally linking the past with the present, but it likewise stifles initiative and enslaves the creative powers of the personality.” [UB, 66 :6.2]
Thought Adjuster: “In your world, traditions and handed-down belief systems have morphed into handicaps that impair the full expression of human personalities, depriving them of the lifegiving oxygen injected by innovative initiatives.
Due to the unstoppable evolutionary process of planetary life, traditions require regular facelifts to keep in step with the cultural advances. The dissemination of information would be seriously impaired if you still used chalks and slates, stubbornly refusing to embrace the benefits provided by the advent of the digital age.
Jesus stressed that, because the truth is alive, it follows a growth curve to keep enlightening human minds. The individual level of open-mindedness or the self-imposed stagnation dictated by closed-mindedness determines in which spiritual age you operate: the dark age of fear, guilt, and shame or the age of enlightenment.
One can break down modern-day traditions into routines, customs, fashions, and habits — two-edged swords. Through self-discipline and repetitions, toxic addictions can be traded for healthier lifestyles, thus enhancing the quality of life. On the other hand, those who refuse to venture off the beaten track turn it into a place of confinement where they surrender their God-given freedom of choice without giving it a second thought.
Planetary spiritual advancements occurred in leaps, bounds, and rebounds leading from a state of lawlessness to a broader revelation of the Father’s way. The seven initial prohibitions given to humankind over 500,000 years ago went missing for ages due to the tragic ripple effects of the Lucifer rebellion. Moses, who lived from 1530 to 1410 BC, reframed them in an enlarged second edition in the form of ten stern commandments necessary to tame unruly human minds.
Jesus reduced all these don’ts to the single do of the Golden Rule — trading fear-inducing deterrents for a positive enticement.
How do you lead your spiritual life? Are you operating under the tutelage of the liberating truth that prompts you to do the right things through joyful personal initiatives, or do you merely refrain from doing the wrong ones? Answer for yourself.”

The Scribe: “I begin this lesson with a confession and for anyone having arrived at the Urantia Papers from a former fundamentalist religion such comment as this must be lip-smacking delicious. It is often noted that mankind is born in sin, but I say, ‘Not so fast!’ The Creator’s gift of personality is pure, is unspoiled and perfect. Anyone or anything hailing from the Father of All that Exists is perfect and is most likely to remain so, as long as he or she continues to dwell in pure spirit form. Thought Adjusters dwell in, and are, of pure spirit.
“The infinitely varied personalities allotted to His human children are essentially perfect, yes, perfect in essence, but by arriving in your most inequitable space/time they almost inevitably will become corrupted. In earth time and morontia lives they need to become both experienced and once more perfect, slowly, slowly on. Heaven indeed holds its breath waiting for its earthly children to do what is right and it rejoices when their decision making is according to the Father’s demand for them to once again ‘be perfect by choice in imperfect surroundings, yes, eventually as He is perfect.’
“I know your text tells you that no one may speak about Thought Adjusters in an informed way. After all, we are the Mystery Monitors and so very much about us is incomprehensable to you. It truly is. Suffice it to say that, firstly, your text predates the Correcting Time and in keeping with the rebellion’s adjudication new rules do apply and secondly, I am a Thought Adjuster, be it now a personalized one, and I may confer with you about TAs. I will live on in making myself useful in a progress-oriented drive and I will continue to lift the weight from Machiventa’s busy shoulders whenever I can.
“Every local universe has, or in time will have, at least one personalized Thought Adjuster by virtue of their each having companioned their Creator Son on His final bestowal as a creature born of woman on the world selected from the many of His making. So you see, serving the Sovereign has its rewards, yet be assured it is a tense time that tolerates not a single mistake.
“Indeed, my friend, the Supreme Adjuster — yes, always a Supreme Adjuster — deserving of companioning a Creator Son during His final bestowal must show an ancient, flawless past of multiple assists and rescues, an impeccable ‘present’ with the bestowal and a known and celebrated future in progress for his adopted world and the greater local universe, furthermore. By Those Who made the TA their choice for the Creator Son, all of his past, present and future is known. So be it. I shall flawlessly serve progress on your planet from this time on.

Teacher Ophelius: “Today, dear students on the path, we would like to expand your minds and go through a little exercise to stretch your imaginations and to help you use your god-given power to co-create. Like a painter, the artist uses a blank canvas to begin his masterpiece and so shall you also use a blank canvas of mind to create your vision. To ‘co-create’ means to tap into that higher aspect of self — the Impersonal, Spiritual Coordinator within your mind — the Thought Adjuster. You all have a personal guidance team that works with you to help you achieve your higher goals and visions for growth and spiritual maturity. Your guidance team can do so much more for you if only you would use them as a daily resource. Let us now put a few colors on your canvas so that you may develop a sense of ‘co-creatorship’ with your personal guidance team.
“At the center of your team shall always be the Higher Self, your Thought Adjuster (TA). Picture now in your mind a circle of benevolent spirits gathered around the TA, which you may picture as a sphere of bright light. The team gathered around you are all ‘specialists’ and depending on your need or situation, a particular specialist shall reach in and touch the light of your TA and provide the resources as required. It could be that several or all of your team reach in at once and contribute their energies when needed. This description of your team matrix is a metaphor for what is truly happening in the dimensional realities around you at any given moment. Being that we are all connected by the One Mind of the Creator, we have access to all points of consciousness within that One Mind.
“It is not important that you should know who all these players are in your team, for they may come and go as needed, yet there shall always be some more permanent members who ‘stick with you’ so to speak. When you desire to connect with another point of consciousness within the One Mind, you may ask your TA to make that connection for you and then proceed to direct your thoughts and energies to the particular personality, problem or desire. Healers do this when remotely connecting to a patient — they simply connect to another point of consciousness within the One Mind and use their co-creative imaginations to visualize and direct ‘wholeness’ to the patient.
“Using your guidance team for personal growth or for the benefit of the greater good of others is most effective, for any request or desire that is in alignment with the Great Plan (Father’s Will) carries a more weighty current of energy and is more likely to be made manifest. There are few limitations here, my friends, when you have a co-creative team and a god-given imagination all working through the One Mind that connects all things! We encourage all of you to begin using your guidance teams to do good works for yourself and others.
“You might say something like: ‘My Beloved Indwelling; my guidance team, please connect me with a specialist who can assist me with __________.” Then go on and explain the need or desire in as much detail as you can imagine using the canvas of your mind. Spirit is passive and shall never interfere with your will or the will of others and so you must ‘ask’ and direct your thoughts and desires that your will aligned with the Father’s Will would come into manifestation. Your belief or ‘knowing’ that the universe is going to work for you is vital in keeping those co-creative thoughts moving toward manifestation. Just as a sculptor sees a stone and visualizes the masterpiece within, he or she believes and knows that what is seen in the mind can be made manifest using the co-creative mind, hammer, and chisel. In like manner, using your guidance team to accomplish some desire, Spirit becomes the hammer and chisel for assisting in the manifestation of your idea.
“When we ‘emulate’ our Creator (in likeness) by using compassionate intention, miracles happen. We encourage you to experiment with your guidance teams and bring good things to your world.
