Subject: “Forgetting the Self”

Thought Adjuster: “By forgetting the self, human beings can function from a higher level. When your actions stop being motivated by your desires for material rewards or glorification, the fruits of the spirit will express themselves freely through you, without doubt or inhibitions of any kind. Ironically, those who learn to forget their selves acquire the potential to become truly noteworthy, because their spirit — their true self — starts to become more visible in their lives.
“The search for glorification can become a hidden agenda. When those mortals who secretly desire to be glorified do something, invariably others will notice a hidden motivation, and suspicion will arise toward them. When someone offers you something that is new for you and you discover that the person is expecting something in return, naturally your doubts arise. On the other hand, when someone offers advice or help and you perceive there is no other intention behind this, it becomes easier for you to follow the advice or to accept the help.
“This is the reason why Jesus had such a great influence over His peers. The total sincerity and purity of His intent was self-evident to those who benefited from His ministrations. When somebody received Jesus’ advise, recommendation, teaching, or even scolding, His words were easier to accept when the person understood without a doubt that the purpose was to do something good for him or her.
“Many of you aspire to achieve this level of purity of intent and it is indeed possible. Cultivate true humility, which is not the false humiliation of the self, but not feeling the need to be exalted. You are a true child of God. What other honor would you rather place upon yourself? What could be greater or better? Those who achieve a true and refreshing forgetting of their selves don’t do it as a sacrifice, but as the result of knowing that the Father presence is within each one of you and this makes you unique and glorious, with the potential for perfection.
“Forgetting your self is not self abandonment, it is rather a higher way to consider your existence and your intrinsic value — a value so evident, it has no need to be recognized. Forgetting the self in reality is to remember what you really are — beings created in the image and likeness of the Creator.”

Subject: “Learn to Uplift Your Heart and Soul.”

The Beloved: “Allow your heart to overflow with thankfulness to the Giver of life for yet another unwritten page in the book of life as you start a new day where anything can and may happen when you allow Me to share it with you.
Be open to the unexpected and welcome each new day like a young child would, having made no plans, so that there will be different ways to live your day. It may be meeting with someone you have not met before or you may have a chance to lighten someone’s heart with a smile or an encouraging word.
Remember always whose children you are. Ultimately, you are all the offspring of the one Creator, who has empowered you with free will, and given you choices and decisions, so that you can learn along life’s path by choosing wisely.
Of course, you will make mistakes. That is expected, for this is how you learn. No one is born perfect. However, it is the supreme command and the ultimate goal of the ages: ‘Be ye perfect, even as I am perfect.’
Whilst you are born into the life of flesh, you are given every opportunity to make each day a better day. With Me, the divine Spark within, how can you lose?
Of course, you can lose if you never listen to My voice, as I tirelessly labor deep within you, to uplift your thoughts above the humdrum, the meanness, and the sordid business of an earth held within the grip of fear and despondency.
You can learn to uplift your heart, soul and mind, to sense the glories of eternal life awaiting each and every one.
Dare to live in that uplifting hope with the optimism that allows your still Voice to be heard, which for yet another day will lead you towards real life waiting for you in the hereafter.
Allow yourself the precious time to come to Me, so you will increasingly learn to discern My voice.”

When man goes in partnership with God, great things may, and do happen.” [UB, 132:7.9]
Thought Adjuster: “Just as human creatures evolve from babyhood to adulthood, I, your divine Indweller, once started as a virgin Father Fragment, existential but inexperienced.
In My Selfless service to My entrusted human charge(s), I evolve experientially, learning from their trials, errors, and victories. I tackle My sacred mission as a Thought Monitor — familiarizing Myself with the intricate patterns of their random or logical thinking processes. Once they solicit My input, I become more actively involved as their Thought Adjuster, subtly finetuning their thinking.
I bring into focus the brilliance of initially foggy thoughts. I perform minute corrections to their spiritual vision to eventually restore it to a 20/20 optimal performance.
Most of you suffer from blurry spiritual vision, as you direct your focus to the self. It is why I am also a heart specialist of sorts, conducting complex bypasses to adequately reconnect your thinking to your feeling, generously dipping it in the love substance — its sublime catalyst. Naturally, right doing will ensue from right thinking.
Upon your heartfelt request, I will be promoted to act as your trustworthy Thought Controller. After you willingly hand Me over the steering wheel of your mind, I will take it to levels of excellence that will optimize the quality of your emotions and actions, taking all of them to superhuman levels of performance.
“That which the enlightened and reflective human imagination of spiritual teaching and leading wholeheartedly and unselfishly wants to do and be, becomes measurably creative in accordance with the degree of mortal dedication to the divine doing of the Father’s will.” [UB, 132:7.9]

Prolotheos: “Change is the soul of experience. Change is not only an activity; rather, change is an alteration to the current status. God is active, but He doesn’t change. Finite beings are characterized by their regular changes. Human beings need change to experience growth, but change may also bring retrogression. As well, change can bring disorder, chaos and various unwanted situations, when change is motivated by evil intent. God can make changes, bringing into existence something totally new, just by His will — creation. Human beings can only make changes by altering something already in existence — Co-creation. Let us take this opportunity to think about the Importance of Changes in human lives.
“Changes are necessary to human beings. Except for God Himself, changes are necessary for everything else. Nothing is static in all the universes. Everything is in constant motion... activity... changing. Pause to consider that even the perfect creatures of God — the ones on Paradise and Havona — even they are susceptible to change. Not degrading changes, but changes that superimpose themselves on their perfection.
“Changes are important to finite beings because they bring experience, and experience is the fabric of human existence. Without change there is no experience, without experience there is no growth, without growth, God’s mandate, ‘Be you perfect even as I am perfect,’ cannot be attained.
“Who makes changes in human beings? Primarily it is the will of God that produces all changes in the Universes. It is so because God has an Eternal and Infinite plan for His creation and His will exerts a gravity power in reality that accomplishes His plans through the ages, endlessly. But because the eternal and infinite plan of God is the goal and His power is the propeller towards this plan, will creatures get to participate with their will and experience in the plan of God. Therefore, both God and His creatures promote the changes that in eternity will fulfill the plan of God. The activity of God produces primary changes and we, His children, carry on with these changes to consummate His overall plans.
“What is the nature of Change? Change never stops. An ending is contrary of the nature of change. Therefore, we can say that changes are infinite as a phenomenon, but it may be temporary as an event. The change that brings every human being to physical life on Urantia is a temporary change that ends with death, but the change that was made by the human mind and the Adjuster in creating the morontia soul, is one that potentially continues for all eternity. Curiously enough, changes may have eternal consequences, change defines the experience, but does not define the being. Change needs stability as its counterpart. The ever-changing universes of time and space need the stability of Paradise. And the all-changing human soul needs an unchangeable personality to be manifest as being.
“Therefore, my pupil, do not be afraid of change. You are associated with an unchangeable representation of God — the Adjuster — which together with your soul, make you a forever-progressive being in the universe of universes. Even if you occasionally regress, you are part of the experience. Changes will take you into an infinitely greater perfection. For finite beings, change is proof of life. Stagnation is a signal of death. Never stop changing; never give up on life. This is your teacher and tutor on High, Prolotheos, speaking of change and hoping to produce changes — the ones of purpose and direction, to a better attunement with the will of God.”

George: “Whilst the Urantia Papers are a channeled work — you after all did show me the process of hypnosis, the ‘sleeping’ receiver and the ‘shorthand’ lady — almost everyone with anything to do with the Urantia Book (UB) gives the receivers of celestial messages the ‘thumbs down’ signal. I’m suggesting, quite bluntly so, that you produced a left-brain book for left-brained readers that keep missing the important point of that massive tome.
“And no, I’m not quite finished here. We really don’t need to know the age of the world and whether God put dinosaur bones under the ground just to confuse us all about this world being only 6,000 years old. He did not put bones under the ground. We already concluded all that. Most importantly, the Jesus Papers clearly advise us to stop talking to God and start listening to what He and His myriad Teachers have to say. OK. Now I’m quite done.”
Machiventa: “A number of us understand that you see any so-called holy book as a source of information only, rather than some item to be treasured. We also gather that you are prepared to state all that . . . in a politically incorrect way . . . on the very strength of having thousands of readers that are likely to feel as you do. More power to you, brother, and we do not necessarily disagree with what you here propose.
“It is important for you to realize that three groups of personalities had their input into the Urantia Papers. These were, firstly, the by-and-large passed-on discoverers of existing human knowledge. In this first instance the celestial grouping of authors merely collated what you collectively already knew, had or had not shared or had or had not forgotten.
“In the second instance there were the celestial organizations to ‘fill in the gaps’ where literary connections had to be made. In truth, very little in real revelation was inserted into the Urantia Papers mix.
“Your ‘left-brain’ remark presumably stems from the situation as you see it now. Relatively speaking you are but a tiny group that have been awakened to the Urantia Teachings being made available (receiving of celestial messages) more so now, as well as more easily now than in the past, circuitry permitting.
“Thirdly, however, what you are failing to see here is that the Urantia Contact Commnission and the Forum asked their left-brain questions that largely got them their left-brain answers. It was through their questions that the Contact Commission, but more directly the Forum, can be seen as in a roundabout way having both clarified and edited the Urantia Papers.
“In time you will find more effort will go into discovering what the man, Jesus, did to establish His exceptional connection with His Adjuster, yes, and with other celestial personalities. In time you will find more believers of the Urantia Papers investigating personal contact with the Teachers. In time the Urantia Papers as they are, appealing to your left-brainers as they are, will spawn more adequately the receivers of our Mentors’ messages this world will need.
“And in time, perhaps looking back from another world, you will see a better balance between those of reason and those of co-creativity, those who keep talking and those who will listen. Carry on, my friend and co-worker. You are doing well. This is Machiventa.”
