Thought Adjuster.
Subject: “Own Up to Your Spiritual Nature!”
Message received by Anyas
“Spiritual living mightily increases true self-respect. But self-respect is not self-admiration. Self-respect is always co-ordinate with the love and service of one’s fellows. It is not possible to respect yourself more than you love your neighbor; the one is the measure of the capacity for the other.” [UB, 156:5.14]
Thought Adjuster: “Let us ponder the weighty content of this statement and the correlation between all its components. Spiritual living mightily increases self-respect because it pertains to your God-given marching orders — not those dictated by your animal urges and the pleasures of the flesh.
Once you prioritize the pleasures of your spiritual nature, the random way you previously played or squandered the deck of cards handed to you at birth shifts into the focused approach of the pros — the true veterans of life. At a young age, Jesus spent much time on the inner, reflecting on the ins and outs of his spiritual nature and acting on the best-informed prompts of his divine Indweller. Jesus’ life withstands all scrutiny, as he was truthful to himself and others. It is how his spirit earned its promotion to the Spirit of Truth.
Jesus had no reason to disrespect himself because he operated as a harmonious being. Lack of self-respect is the outcome of the internal conflicts that plague you when you are not living according to what should be your governing values. You sacrifice the collective wellbeing for self-gratification, doing your best to repress the guilt that bubbles up.
Interestingly enough, many low-achievers draw great pride from scant past acts of bravery. Their self-absorbed reminiscence places them on a pedestal of self-admiration. Nevertheless, they fail to grow in self-respect, as, given their current state of spiritual complacency, they feel deep down like con artists.
It will never be too late for a conversion experience. Own up to your spiritual nature and prioritize it as a decisional criterion. It will dispel any inner conflict and reward you with lasting peace of heart and mind. You will be able to live with yourself and worship The One who vested you with such potential for stellar achievements of self-realization and cosmic-wide altruistic contributions. You will have earned his trust and respect.”

Teacher: Thought Adjuster.
Subject: “Forward Momentum”
Message received by Oscar.
Thought Adjuster: “Human beings often adopt an all-or-nothing attitude and this can become an obstacle for your spiritual progress. This is the same attitude you sometimes adopt when starting a diet. When you decide to start eating healthier with the goal of improving your health or losing some weight, you define a set of expectations, and when you deviate from these expectations for any reason you decide that the whole endeavor is too difficult and abandon the effort altogether.
However, your efforts to lose weight would be more successful if, after breaking your rules and falling for the temptation of a delicious cake, you just decide to continue with your plans and search for a healthier meal the next time you are hungry. Similarly, your journey towards perfection does not require you to become perfect in a day. It is a progressive journey, with many small steps forward – and even a couple of steps backwards from time to time.
When you find yourself in situations where you lose control and forget for a moment the main goal of your life, do not judge yourself too harshly. Accept that you are a creature working towards perfection, not a perfect creature. Accept that mistakes are an essential and important part of your learning process, not a sign of weakness. In essence, accept that you are a human being that desires divine achievements and those require constant effort and clear intent.
It is not the speed of your progress what will ensure your entrance to the Kingdom. There are no fines or penalties for the quantity of mistakes anybody may make. Those who achieve definite alignment with the divine will when they are thirty years old are as valuable to the Father and to creation as are those who reach these goals in the morontia worlds after several centuries. Time is irrelevant to the eyes of the Father and in eternity the temporal differences vanish.
The most important thing is to maintain your forward momentum. Regardless of how may obstacles you find on your way to perfection, or how many times you trip and fall because of your animal tendencies, your fears, or your doubts, always keep moving forward, at your own pace. Where you are today is not as important as where you will be tomorrow, and you will only advance, with the help of your Thought Adjuster, if you sustain the forward momentum by feeding your heart’s desire of becoming more like your Father every day.”

Teacher Prolotheos.
Subject: “Strengtheners of Good Character.”
Received by Valdir Soares.
Teacher Prolotheos: “You are primarily responsible for who and what you are. Early in life – between the ages of 5 and 6 – the human character develops, but only with maturity does it become truly sound. Good and bad influences certainly count, but decisions are the major factor. Character reflects some unique, unchangeable, and innate personality traits, but it also shows some changeable characteristics of the Self, formed through life’s decisions. Personal decisions can make a character good or bad, but good decisions spring from good principles. Honor your good principles, and they will honor you. Let’s take a look at some principles that strengthen a good character.
“Sincerity. Objective truth may many times be out of reach, but sincerity makes you truthful to yourself. Sincerity, unaided by love, is nothing more than a way to throw your ego or temper upon others, regardless of the consequences. Sincerity is to be honest, authentic, truthful with words and actions. Sincerity is a personal moral effort towards truth. Evil is never sincere because truth is incompatible with evil, since it springs from deceit, error and falsehood. Sincerity can be mistaken about content, but must be truthful in its intent – goodness. Hypocrisy will damage your character, but sincerity will make it reliable.
“Fairness. When on Urantia your Master said, ‘You will be judged with the measure you have judged others’ and ‘Treat others as you would like to be treated.’ God is our supreme example of fairness because ‘He is no respecter of persons.’ He perfectly consider all factors involved and renders a perfect judgment. To you, in your present spiritual development, He says, ‘Treat others as you would like to be treated.’ Practicing the Golden Rule strengthens your character with loving consideration of others, because a good and strong character strives for fairness in all dealings to its best knowledge.
“Goodness. Love is basically expressed by goodness. Goodness is the main strength of character, because love never causes harm. Rather, love always seeks the ultimate well-being of the loved ones. To help make your character strong, goodness cannot be seen as an option, it must be your passion. A character built with love refuses to consciously practice evil and always insists on making good. Goodness cannot simply be a strategic move. More than being politically correct, it strives for being divinely good, following the paramount examples of our Creator Son. Goodness is indeed the indispensable ingredient of a ‘good character’.
“Therefore, my pupil, the virtues of a strong character are also the virtues with which the Spirit Within will strengthen and grow your soul. Those are the values that will remain with you throughout your morontia and spiritual careers, even for eternity. Equally important, these values will make your life on Urantia worth living, with a clear conscience of striving for the best and showing it to the best of your ability. They will not make you perfect, only eminently sincere, fair and good – which is what is needed. This is from Prolotheos, your celestial teacher. Peace to you all.”

Midwayer Chief Bzutu (ABC-22).
Subject: “Consider the State You Are In.”
Received by George Barnard.
Bzutu: “In my view, our brother Thuroc has answered questions in a rather generous fashion of late. Most of us dwelling in Urantia’s morontia realm agree on there being few statesmen on the planet – clowns to the left, jokers to the right, fools right in the middle. The stage has been set in the lying and spying departments with everyone spying on everyone else, and it is hoped that one can turn the other honest in such a percentage of instances that we may see gradual positive changes on a world-wide basis, and before too long.
“Is it possible that this incidental means of illegal oversight might have the effect of making you more honest. Might I just correct these hasty words right now … and suggest that the not-so-well-hidden ‘big brother’s monitoring ways’ might make you less devious in your behavior as a group. The Correcting Time is not negotiable. It will feed into the first few decades of an evolving era of Light and Life, however, things could progress a little faster to our liking. We keep hoping that as a group you will come to your God-given senses.
“There are many drawbacks to living on this previously isolated, long time rebellious planet. Large numbers of you are bereft of the type of education that most beneficially suits your aptitude and passion, if indeed you were born in a part of the world where an education can be afforded at all. Ever so many of you have your lives interrupted by wars and dire economical circumstances. Granted, this is not really the ideal place to ‘come to terms with’ everyday mortal life, and make a great success of it, as is the saying.
“However, there are hidden advantages in ‘being rudely introduced to human living’ on this planet. Those who manage to live a productive, ethical existence are loved by their angels and truly, little more than such a life is expected of them. Those who find time for others – yes, caring mothers as a matter of cause – are treasured on High together with all those who reach out to others in need. Those who strike up a partnership with, and assist their Thought Adjusters in building their morontia souls, are the all-time winners.
“For these troopers of mortal existence there is little to be considered out of reach in their lengthy pilgrimage to Paradise. See it now clearly in your minds’ eyes, my friends, that for those willing to battle the distractions of the spiritual of a former rebellious world, the rewards will be enormous, so consider the state you are in and now make the very best of this life for the eternal rewards it will bring. This is ABC-22 saying Adieu.”

Thought Adjuster.
Subject: “The Ubiquity of Omnipresence.”
Message received by Anyas.
Omnipresence: The Presence of God everywhere at the same time.
Thought Adjuster: “The reality of the divine omnipresence needs to be taken to a much higher level of understanding. There are various planes of ‘Presence’: physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual. Isn’t the Father the Source and Center of all of them?
Do not limit your concept of divine omnipresence to the physical realm. By doing so, you significantly shrink it, and it no longer meets the criteria of omnipresence.
Jesus’ perception and experience of the divine omnipresence encompassed all its facets. The Father was present in Jesus' thinking process, leading him to make the best-informed decisions. He was present in his tender heart, using it both as an entry and exit point for the omnipresence of divine love in the personal experience of those who were receptive.
Human free will restricts the divine omnipresence by placing inadvertent or intentional roadblocks from its narrow-hearted and narrow-minded vantage point. Nevertheless, in his omnipresence, the Father fills to the brim any space that opens up: in your thoughts through his Mystery Monitors; in your emotions, through his love-in-action, which, by its very nature, calls for impulsive reciprocation. Thus, your actions enable him to manifest his love by proxy in his vast creation.
From this perspective, you are instrumental in his omnipresence — as long as you live with present-mindedness. Each now moment is where the magic occurs. It is the stage where you operate within his omnipresence.”
