“Reason, wisdom, and faith are man’s highest human attainments.” [UB 1141:04]
Thought Adjuster: “How do you measure human attainments on your world? For many, it has to do with these achievements or incidents that make one ‘famous.’ Often, they are also measured according to earning abilities — the number of digits on your bank statement.
“Such identified human attainments, while at times remarkable and awe-inspiring, are missing the mark of true greatness. In fact, they may inhibit its manifestation by inappropriately catering to ego satisfaction and the activation of inappropriate superiority complexes.
“Jesus ‘wisely’ steered away from such entrapments. He did not pursue the accumulation of material wealth, as He well understood the fine line between meeting the basic needs for sustainability or yielding to the pull of vain desires. By definition, a want is a choice — a desire which you may or may not be able to get. Life will continue if you do not obtain what you want.
“Jesus was fully engaged in His spiritual calling — body, mind, heart, and soul. How else could He have paved the way to authentic human greatness? To be spirit-led involves its versatile facets; it implies that you are reason-led, growing in wisdom and faith. No one can ever rob you of your spiritual achievements. They are yours, forever and ever.
“From that perspective, it is highly advisable to regularly scrutinize the substance of the daily transactions recorded on your spiritual bank statement to ensure that your priorities are in good order.
“Unlike material possessions, spiritual possessions are priceless. They cannot be bought. They have to be ‘homegrown.’ As well, they are highly rewarding, as they upgrade your character, causing it to manifest more and more of its latent greatness. Someday, you will look back at your track record and be confounded by the wealth of potentials seeded in you by the Greatest of All.”
