Forever . . .

During the time it will take for this poem to be completed,
I promise,
that no animals were either killed or injured in the production,
by either this writer, or his immediate friends.

However, lots of people lost their lives in wars,
many succumbed to preventable diseases,
and even more lost the fight to hunger.

We obviously still keep forgetting,
that we are collectively obliged to concern
ourselves with the welfare of all . . .

and forever.
