"Broken clay speak at last.
Time passed without a say,
Born of ancient captive sounds
Seeing now the light of day.

"Be at one in crystal light
Showing bright, the dimness fade.
To the seeker crown this night.
Make it clear in ebon sway.

"Know not all and seeking still,
Comb the dusty galleries.
Treasure hidden yet exposed
Too close to show its secret.

"Round they turn in mystic dance
Stop them now for one last chance.
Hidden writing on the wall,
Watch it fall near to all.

"Be not many but a few
Sweeping dust to show the words.
Reading them in open view,
With lifting of the veil.

"One with all in shared embrace,
Living in this holy place.
Bridges burning as they pass
From smoke to clarity.
Notes: If the above speaks of one of the oldest (if not
the oldest) writing forms of the Sumerians, it makes a lot of sense.
The Sumerians would have known the Midwayers at least as well as did
the early Greeks of the Delphi Oracles.
Stanzas 4 and 6 appear to deal with the Middle East crisis, as well
as the (possibly not so pleasing) consequences of that debacle.
