A Lesson on Problems.

A Thought Adjuster Speaks - Lesson # 80
October 22, 2004.

The discussion for today will be on problems. Problems arise due to the free will of imperfect human beings, and their choice and decision-making process. Decisions are made from minute to minute, mostly without much thought involvement, because much in life has become habit, and the every day decisions have become part of daily life. Getting up in the morning to start another day’s work, for example, is a habit. Only when one does not feel well, or lacks in sleep and does not feel rested, it becomes problematic and a decision needs to be made to get up and drag oneself around for a while, or simply stay in bed.

However, the problems we are going to talk about are the ones which need to be solved and how this can be done. When problems are seen as opportunities to learn from, riddles to be solved, and puzzles to complete, then one has a greater choice about how to view them and how to solve them. Sometimes a time element is involved, where hurrying would have an adverse effect, and might even compound the problem. The deeper one desires to think about a problem, the easier it will become as different insights and opportunities have a chance to present themselves. The best thing to do when a problem seems ‘un-solvable,’ is to ask for advice, because two heads know better than one.

Now we are coming to the question of whom to ask. People seem only too willing to give another person advice, often unasked for. One should never give advice, unless it is asked for. It is not a good idea to make someone else’s problems your own, but that is not the case here. Each person needs to think about what it is he or she wants solved. Sometimes problems solve themselves when given enough time. To solve problems in a hurry might even lead to disaster, which can result in further entanglement. Opportunities for learning abound, for in finding solutions a lot of wisdom and understanding is garnered, which might have been impossible to acquire in other ways. The same goes for mistakes, which created the problem in the first place. Everything has a way of working itself out, given enough time. The real learning opportunities come when you take your problems in prayer to the All That Is. There are many invisible agencies willing to work with you, if only they are asked to assist.

It remains your duty to get yourself out of the problems of your own making, but ways can be found to help you do so. The best and the shortest way is to flex your faith and trust muscles, as they will become the trusted servants to be used when you navigate the ‘high seas and storms’ of life. Turn within to the Stillness of your heart, allow a mantle of peace to envelop you, state your problem and wait for insight to arise. This may not be immediate, but can happen all of a sudden at a different time, when ‘heaven’s conditions’ are right, not necessarily as per human expectation. Unsolved problems retard progress, and will still need to be solved on a higher level -- in the next stage of existence -- where you will continue precisely where you left off here. There is never an avoidance of problems, even if it takes eons into eternity.
